Judge Gary J. Raniolo

Experience - Integrity - Honesty

First elected to serve as a Yorktown Town Justice in 2011, Judge Raniolo has focused on fulfilling his campaign pledge of Law and Order, Reasonable Access To The Courts, and Focus On Our Youth. Judge Raniolo has treated all those who come before him with dignity and respect. His over 35 years of legal experience have resulted in firm, fair, well reasoned and well communicated rulings. Prosecutors, Plaintiffs and Defendants have all complimented Judge Raniolo for his judicial temperament, reasonableness, and knowledge of the law.

Working with Judge Sal Lagonia and the Court Clerk's staff, Judge Raniolo has eliminated the backlog of cases that had resulted in extremely long delays for Yorktown residents seeking to be heard before the court. This accomplishment, along with the ongoing effort required to maintain a timely disposition of all cases before the court, gives our constituents the access to the legal system that they want, and deserve.

As a parent of three children who grew up in Yorktown and attended Yorktown public schools, Judge Raniolo is personally aware of the grave dangers that confront many of our young people, sadly some with deadly consequences. Judge Raniolo pledged to use both his legal authority and his visibility in the community to address this dangerous trend. His handling of youthful offender matters before the court, and his active involvement with the Alliance for Safe Kids (ASK),  the Yorktown Youth Court and as a Board member on the Yorktown Citizens Task Force Against Heroin, are examples of Judge Raniolo's commitment to helping reverse the trend of behavioral issues that have impacted the lives of too many families in our community.
